Rancho Bravo Tacos Restaurant

Identity, Web and Mobile Design

Rancho Bravo Tacos Restaurant has a burgeoning word-of-mouth presence in Seattle’s Capitol Hill. Our challenge was to help them to the next level of public presence by bringing them online. The solution was to create a new logo for Rancho Bravo that maintains the current accessible voice of the restaurant while increasing  brand recognition. I worked with fellow designer James Zerkel to create a multi-page website and mobile site that was cohesive with the brand and gave the user easy access to important information in an easy-to-navigate interface.

Labyrinths by Jorge Luis Borges

Book Design and Illustration

Argentinian short story writer Jorge Luis Borges created narratives that stretched the boundaries of literary possibility. His works are analytical while at the same time passionate, wild and imaginative. My approach to the illustration was to create quiet, realistic vignettes that  still capture the surreal essences in key moments of the stories. The book design is open and clean with the intent of leaving room for the dense themes and imagery to unfold without distraction, as well as reflect the subtle tone of the collection.
