“The real issue is not talent as an independent element, but talent in relationship to will, desire, and persistence. Talent without these things vanishes and even modest talent with those characteristics grows.”
The War of The Worlds
The task was to reformat an existing text, interpreting the author’s written language into a meaningful visual form using the basic principles of traditional book design and typographic etiquette. The strict graphic qualities and severe contrast of my design reflect our tendency to distill all armed conflicts to good verses evil. Other graphic elements, such as the lunar eclipse progression proceeding each chapter foreshadow the rise and fall opposing power and reminds us that nothing truly lasts forever.
User Experience, User Interface
My goal for this project was to redesign the information architecture and user interface for the Comcast cable company while maintaining all current content and features. My redesign not only greatly simplifies the existing menu structure, but also updates the interface visuals and navigation to compete with emerging market competitors in internet television. Check out the feature video on my website.
